OUR 50th ANNIVERSARY - The AGM

The Cake - we congratulate ourselves on making it to 50 years. The Executive : Secretary Sue Parkin, President Brian Cheers and Treasurer Shirley Thomas - all have renewed their positions.

Other Awards

Jim and Shirley Howie were awarded their 50 years membership - Jim was the foundation President but sadly died earlier this year.

John Richardson was awarded his 40 year membership certificate but was unable to attend.

Brian presents Ron and Dorothy Tumeth their Certificate for thirty Years Membership of the Society  
Brian presents the Natrakelp Perpetual Trophy to Sue Parkin as "The Member who has contributed to the advancement and efficient operation of The Australian Hibiscus Society Inc." Brian presents the Trophy for Hybridizer of the Year to Ida and Keith Dagan in his absence.  The trophy is for the hybridizer whose seedlings were the most awarded for the year wherever they were shown and judged.

Kyra in its summer and winter appearances - very beautiful.
Rebekah Linden is the HOTY for 2017. It was bred by Alan and Elaine Little and raised by John Goodwin. It is bred from Georgia's Pearl x Jason Blue. Brian presents the trophy to Elaine Little for the Champion Rebekah Linden - sadly, Alan died recently.
